Dungeon Exploration Deck

What is it?

A 60 card, double sided deck for system neutral dungeon generation or solo exploration.

Each card presents a room or passage layout, contents and details to flavour every encounter.

How to play?

Draw one card for each element as needed.

• One for the room or passage layout.
• One for each contents icon. In the example above, one for combat difficulty and one for the event type.
• If an encounter doesn’t spring to mind, draw additional cards to flavour the encounter with an element, verb, adjective and noun.
• If hazards, traps, or other challenges require a difficulty class, draw additional cards for difficulty levels of saves or skill checks.

Optional Rules

• Only draw 2 cards per area. Use the front and back to set all details instead of drawing for every elements.
• Use the d6 randomizer to set square size: 1-2: 5ft, 3-5: 10ft, 6: 20ft
• Don’t like empty rooms? Flip the card or draw another to set the contents.
• Draw a single card to set the difficulty level for all elements in the room (combat, notice a hazard, disarm a trap, negotiate with an NPC, solve a puzzle, etc).

• NO AI used in the creation of this deck.
• The room and passage layouts are re-used assets from my Ker Nethalas Exploration Deck.
